Washington’s WAC amendments and administrative rules are essential project documents. Permit, inspection, licensing, product approval, and local-jurisdiction responsibilities must be checked separately.

Project verification checklist

• Match the permit/work date to the transition schedule.
• Read Chapter 296-46B WAC alongside the adopted NEC.
• Determine whether L&I or a city performs the inspection.
• Check current rulemaking notices, interpretations, approved equipment, and utility requirements.
